Welcome Alumni!

The library will be open special hours for reminiscing!
Our regular hours Friday and Saturday are 9-1 and we will stay open from 1-5 both days for self-guided nostalgia tours (but no library business from 1-5).

Front Entrance Closed

The front entrance of the library is closed while they repair the front steps. The side entrance, near Kent's Mary Patterson building, and the back entrance are still open. The book return has been moved to near the back entrance (facing the alley behind Cooper's Insurance). Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Ohio Digital Library is making it so that we can extend e-cards to potential patrons that haven't been to the library before! Register here to get a temporary virtual card with Carnegie Public Library.
Then head to https://ohdbks.overdrive.com/ to borrow ebooks and digital audiobooks. (Borrowing ebooks with the ecard will only work during our closure for the Coronavirus.)

Coronavirus has been the subject of many recent news and social media reports. Your health and safety is important to us. We know that information is a key to good health and that sometimes reliable information is hard to find. That’s why we have taken the time to assemble a list of trusted sources to help you find dependable and up-to-date information from local, state, and national perspectives about the COVID-19 outbreak.

Hold Redelivery for eBooks

A new option is now available for holds in our digital book collection: hold redelivery (or the “Deliver later” option). This feature gives patrons more control over their digital holds, so they can borrow and read titles when it’s most convenient for them. Go to https://ohdbks.overdrive.com/ with your library card to borrow digital items.

Wi-Fi Hotspots

Carnegie Public Library has added another service for the community by offering Mobile Hotspots for adult patron use. Adult patrons with library cards in good standing, will be able to check out Hotspots for two weeks at a time with a limit of one per household. The Hotspots connect to the Sprint network and allow the users to connect phones, laptops, tablets, and other devices to the internet.

Curbside Pick-up Available

The library is offering curbside pick-up. Limit 20 items per patron. Call 330-385-2048 to request items. Call again when your arrive for your pick-up appointment. We will place the bagged items at the bottom of our back stairs on Drury Lane (facing the former Cooper's Insurance). Returned items must be placed in the book drop.
